Now here’s a knife with some mighty impressive roots. It was brought to market back in 1980 by none other than the man whose last name goes on each of our products. Pete Gerber was the first knife creator to envision the merits of using all-synthetic materials in the handle. He and knife designer Blackie Collins aimed to deliver lightweight performance that had not been seen before in a knife this all-out rugged. It’s an American tradition.
The LST traditional knife was first brought to market by Pete Gerber back in 1980. He worked designer Blackie Collins to create an all-synthetic handle. The LST Drop Point folder weighs just over 1 ounce thanks to a glass-filled nylon handle. The drop point blade is bead blast finished 420HC steel with full hollow ground edge and lock up with the steel lockback. The LST is a great keychain knife size and fitted with lanyard hole for attachment.
